The 2012 European Summit begins in Prague

Monday, September 24th, 2012

The 2012 European Summit (TES) has now begun in Prague and it has caused me to reflect back to last year’s European Summit in Prague. The European Summit is billed as Europe’s leading B2B conference for the online Internet industry. I started attending the European Summit back when it was The Barcelona Summit (TBS) and I have always been impressed with how much business and information was available.

Last year was my first time visiting Prague and I came away wishing I had been able to spend more time away from the hotel. Unfortunately, the only time I was able to get away was for the off-premise events such as the Cybersocket Party, the YNOT Grand Prix and the YNOT Awards. I realize that some of these events, the Grand Prix for example, have already happened, but the YNOT awards are tomorrow night. If you have not gotten tickets to attend, I recommend doing so, it was a definite highlight of the show.

These photos are from the Prague show in 2011 and include the Hotel Praha, the Silenzio, YNOT Grand Prix and YNOT Awards. You can find all the photos from last year by searching for Prague in the search box. (more…)

A little later, a few of us met at a Clos Mont-Blanc wine tasting room to sample a few Spanish wines. They had some good stuff, but I think I will stick with our California wines. (more…)

Photos from Wednesday night in Barcelona

These photos were taken at La Xerinola and Sutton, The Club in Barcelona. After the last happy hour at The European Summit 2012, several of us headed out to find something to eat. We ended up on La Rambla at the La Xerinola Restaurante. The food was great and the company even better. After we finished eating, most of us headed back to Hotel Miramar for the Reporo after party.

Eventually, a group of us headed out to a very large nightclub called Sutton, The Club. As you can tell by the photos, the joint was jumping and everyone wanted their photo taken. (more…)
