Friday was the last official day of AVN’s adult Internet marketers B2B trade show, Internext Summer 2014 which was held at the New Orleans Downtown Marriott at the Convention Center. The day started off with coffee and beignets as people recovered from the previous evening’s festivities. The business and networking continued with Speed Networking, seminars and the GFY networking lunch.

When the last of the seminars ended the networking continued with the Affil4you Happy Hour; followed by the Affiliate Cocktail Party sponsored by UpForIt, Juicy Ads, Affil4you and AdultCentro. People then split up into groups and did dinner. The evening ended with the Big 6 Bourbon Street Bash at the Hustler Club.

As it seems most people have departed and thunderstorms have been going on all Saturday morning, sight-seeing would be a little damp so I guess you could say Internext Summer 2014 is now officially over. I would like to thank all the sponsors involved in making this show all it was; especially AVN and GFY for the nice hotel room, Orbital Pay for the Traffic Dinner invite, Grand Slam Media for the House of Slam concert and last, but certainly not least, my photo sponsor, Exxxtasy Online. Thursday afternoon, GFY sponsored a wet t-shirt contest. While the pool area was a little small, everyone that wanted to watch figured out a way to do it. The ladies were pretty energetic and enthusiastic too. Probably the only thing I would suggest is to get some thinner material for the GFY t-shirts. It was a great time either way and thanks to MojoHost for picking up the bar tab.

AVN has brought the Internext B2B trade show back to New Orleans at the Downtown Marriott at the Convention Center and it is beginning to show the potential to be a very nice show. Personally, I arrived Wednesday afternoon and it seemed that most of the attendees either arrived on Tuesday or were coming in Wednesday. The adult Internet marketing B2B event, day one, consisted of the Welcome Reception at Wolfe’s Restaurant and Merchant Connections’ cocktail party at the Ritz Carlton. Apparently more people showed up than expected as it was not long before the party had to be moved next door to The Saint to handle the number of people that showed up. Thursday the actual business end of the show will begin with a few seminars and speed networking. The GFY wet t-shirt contest should be interesting as it has been raining pretty consistently since we arrived. The weather is not dampening anyone’s spirits in the least.
