Day Two of The European Summit 2012, Barcelona

Day two of the online entertainment B2B conference, The European Summit 2012, continued on Wednesday with more seminars and a lunch for show sponsors. Later, they had second Speed Networking session that appeared to be bigger than the first, a meet market and some classes on financial planning and fighting piracy. The European Summit 2012 Barcelona, Day One

Tuesday was the first day of the online entertainment B2B conference, European Summit 2012 Barcelona. The day included numerous seminars covering a variety of topics, a well-attended Speed Networking session and a couple of Happy Hours. The Hotel Miramar Barcelona is rather large but only has 75 rooms, so this meant that people were pretty well spread out most of the time. For those of us that had never stayed at this venue, it meant taking a day to figure out where all the nooks and crannies were. It seemed that a few seminars just never happened due to lack of attendance. I do not know if it was the subject matter or the fact that no one knew where it was being held.

Other than that, the hotel lobby and patio areas were quite loud with small meetings being held wherever one could find a spot to sit down. (more…)

Arriving in Barcelona for The European Summit 2012

These photos were taken on my flight from LAX to Barcelona and some of the sights from my first day there. The European Summit 2012(TES 2012), Barcelona began on Monday, March 5 so I headed out of LAX on Saturday morning so I could have some time to adjust to the new time zone before the show started. Arriving at 7:00 AM on Sunday, it was far too early to check in to the Hotel Barcelona Universal, so I dumped my bags off and headed over to the Hotel Miramar to see if there were any other early arrivals. No one was awake there either.

I took a few photos from around both hotels, and when the Universal allowed me to check in six hours early I jumped on it. When I awoke, I headed back to the Miramar, where the Online Dating Summit was wrapping up. There I met a few friends and we headed off to the El Born section of the city for some tapas and Spanish wine. (more…)
