Fan Day at the 2013 Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention

Sunday, February 24th, 2013

These pictures are from day four of the second annual Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention which was designated as “Fan Day” for the final day of the four day virtual trade show. Wednesday and Thursday were the B2B days, with Friday being the B2C day. As the day was concentrated on the fans, the day started off with a Q & A with adult star James Deen. This was followed by several Meet & Greets with various adult porn celebrities including Sabrina Deep (who pretty much gave a free hour long cam show); BDSM Cam Goddess, Vivica Delicious; and the Princess of Porn Seka. There was also a “Domination & Submission 101” presentation by Kelsey Obsession with her husband stopping by to help demonstrate.

The day ended with the 2013 Adult Entertainment Virtual Awards; hosted Patrick Maliha and Samantha Mack, and the Adult Entertainment Virtual Awards After Party featuring The Porn Star DJ: Helly Mae Hellfire. Everyone seemed to have a good time and over the course of the last few days a lot of information was provided to the attendees. You can find a list of all the award winners at http://www.adultvirtualconvention.com/Awards.aspx. (more…)

Day 3 of the 2013 Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention

Saturday, February 23rd, 2013

These images are from Friday, day three of the second annual Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention, AEVC 2013. Friday was the third day of the four day virtual convention and was designated as the B2C day. Since AEVC 2013 is being held in the Red Light Center and it is very extensive with many areas I have yet to stumble upon, I can not really say that I noticed where all the consumers were hanging out, but I did see numbers of upwards of 2,700 people there, so I guess there was a larger crowd than the days prior. I noticed that the Meet & Greet Hour with the Princess of Porn, Seka, seemed to be pretty active.

On the education side, there were three seminars/panels. The day started with a “Legal Update and a Look Forward” presentation by Greg Piccionelli, Esq.; followed by “The Digital Age of Adult Entertainment: A Look at the Future” with Greg Clayman, Brian Shuster, Douglas Richter, Quentin Boyer and Kim Nielsen. Moderated by Greg Piccionelli, Esq and “The World’s Oldest Profession goes Virtual: A WG Panel Discussion” with Eros, Saphyre Rose, Vamp White Dove and Elle St.Claire. Moderated by Anna Lee. The evening ended with the Wasteland/Sssh.com party.

Saturday will be the fan show with an awards show later in the afternoon. It is free to attend, so if it is too cold to go outside, you might want to check it out. You can register at http://www.redlightcenter.com/conventions/aevc2013/RegisterToAttend.aspx (more…)

Photos from day two of AEVC 2013

Friday, February 22nd, 2013

These images are from day two of the second annual Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention (AEVC 2013), which is being held online at the Red Light Center. Thursday was the second day of the B2B portion of the show and there were plenty of panel discussions to keep any online marketer in the adult industry interested. The day started with a Keynote Address by Diane Duke which was hosted by Colin Rowntree. Among the topics they discussed was the current status of 2257 and Measure B. Additional panels included “PR and Branding Strategies for the Adult Market” with Brian Gross, Quentin Boyer, Jules Jordan and Lauren McEwen which was moderated by Dan Miller; and the “State of the Industry” with Brian Shuster, Diane Duke, Colin Rowntree and Greg Piccionelli and moderated by Alec Helmy.

Friday will be the first day of the B2C portion of the show, so it will be interesting to see how much the attendance rises. They announced that on day one they had 2,000 industry people at least login and check it out. I know last year many people seemed skeptical about an adult virtual convention; but it seems once they actually visit the show they discover that there is definitely value in attending. It is free, so feel free to register for AEVC 2013 and see for yourself. You might be surprised. (more…)
