Due to a general strike in France which prevented our aircraft from crossing over French airspace, we had a rather late arrival into Amsterdam on Friday night. We stopped by the Park Hotel to see if anything was going on, but it seemed that most people were either sleeping or out on a canal boat for a pre-party. We decided to go check out the alleyways of Amsterdam, then headed back to our room for a relatively early evening.

I was up bright and early Saturday and walked over to the Park Hotel to register for the show and to begin attending the scheduled seminars. I was the first person in the registration area, but they were not quite ready for me, so I took advantage of one of the several coffee machines strategically located around the venue. After a couple cups of cappuccino I headed back to the registration area only to discover there were now two long lines. As the day progressed, the show seemed to grow in size.
